Ra.One, Sharukh Khan’s upcoming Video game

Posted in Uncategorized on September 9, 2011 by psyficologist

At first when I read this online, I laughed so hard. All I thought, was this true? Is this actually possible and what is this all about?  Sharukh (popularly known as SRK) is a mega bollywood star and now there is a video game in the making. The game is playstation based and will be released for PS3. I haven’t seen any mention of any other format but the makers may change that, considering majority of gamers play X-box these days.

So those of you who aren’t too bollywood savvy, SRK is a very popular bollywood actor and his movies break records at the box office. His next movie, to be released is called Ra.One, which the video game will be based on. I get the whole reason why Asians are all happy about it because there isn’t “indian based” video games, well at least none I’m aware of, or popular. I just find the whole thing quite entertaining because apparently there is a huge uproar online about it. Some bollywood actors condone it and some are totally in support. It seems that some think that SRK is co-creating this game for his ego. It links my thought with the past IFA awards held in Canada, this year. The awards ceremony was basically created around SRK. Only his friends and movies got awards. I felt that a lot of other actors and movies were completely robbed of getting credit for their work. I also found it quite peculiar that other actors (that are rumored to not get along with SRK) such as Salman Khan and Amir Khan were not at IFA! Yet, SRK was announcing pretty much the entire awards ceremony, and was not the host! Aside from IFA, even in bollywood tabloids, SRK seems to throw himself anywhere a camera is, which is reported by many bollywood online bloggers. Did I mention the movie Ra.One is also produced by SRK’s company (Red Chillies Entertainment)?

Personally, I could care less about SRK. I don’t like his movies or acting. But, I am curious about an Indian based video game. Apparently SRK is the hero in the game, like the movie. Ra.One’s premise is G.One, played by SRK is a superhero and Ra.One is the villain. It’s always fun to dabble with super hero video games. The weapons are still being discussed in detail about the game. I haven’t found much detail online about it and it seems like SRK’s company is keeping the details secret to have a grand debut when it releases. The only metion I can come across, it’s a “fighting game between Ra.One and G.One”.

I wonder if at the end, when finishing the game, SRK breaks out in a bollywoodesque rain dance at the end. We’ll see. I’m also curious if the game is available in multiple languages, considering bollywood fans span. All in al I am excited about an Indian based video game, let’s face it Indian culture, especially Hindu myth has been regurgitated infinite amount of times in the comic book/video game world. Hopefully this is executed well and not cheesy.

One of my thought bubbles…

Sometimes I wonder if what I write is actually read. People are scared about the internet tracking your blogs and such but why be afraid? What is there to hide? We are all individuals and have thoughts. We may not agree with each other but why not respect each other’s thoughts or at least give them a minute to explain themselves. We can all argue “well what about ignorant, racist people’s thoughts or something along the lines of such”… we can only learn from each other.

I find life to be quite hilarious. People always want to belong to a group, try and seem smart and say “intelligent” things, “SAT/GRE” type words. What does that matter? I like speaking in a way all peoples can understand… short, blunt and simple. According to society, it is taboo to be blunt and honest. Why sugarcoat things? I feel that people who elaborately play up words usually have nothing to say. Keep thinking you dazzle people with your “thoughts”. I sit back and giggle.

One of my best friends and I always get into this topic. He always asks me why do I not introduce people to my serious thoughts. I say life is much more entertaining when others think your stupid. I smile and nod and the other person (who delusionally thinks they are smarter than the rest of the beings on the planet) reveals themselves quite quickly. Ever stay quiet for a few moments in a conversation, people will reveal things about themselves and if you are lucky enough to see farther than your nose, you can see right past the bullshit. Ain’t it funny how “humans” think they are superior to other animals such as monkeys because monkeys fling fecal matter at each other? Don’t humans do the same thing but this shit comes out another end…

Death by ‘the new’..

If Video killed the Radio Star, what did Social Network sites kill?

I just pondered about it a bit. We can rashly say social network sites killed possibly phone calls, social occasions to meet new people. But, has it really? It seems as if many people complain or seem paranoid that social network sites make people more introverted.

I am no hermit. For me, it has introduced me to a lot of people around the world, in pretty much all continents. We skype chat, and use various social network sites to get to know each other and realize we are all so similar. Not to be cliche but it does make me smile because the world isn’t as different or huge as you might think….
